About the characters

Kazik enrolled into the Academy at 16, at the time of the story taking place he is 19. He comes from a rather wealthy background, many in his family have a military background & lots of connections with other higher ups & just people of status generally.Kazik can be a bit of an ambivert, he enjoys the company of friends & is generally a very mellow-hearted & empathetic guy. Perhaps a bit infirm at times, but that doesn’t stop him from learning to stand his ground eventually.
He likes literature, & if he had more time on his hands, he’d probably spend it reading. His favorite genre are romance novels & old literature.Under stress, he shuts down & becomes very quiet. He suffers from stress-caused insomnia & his loss of appetite has brought him problems as well. All this has lead to him becoming almost chronically exhausted. Someone give this guy a break!!

Iwwerk also entrolled at 16, & is now 19. Unlike Kazik, he comes from a very simple background. His family was never DIRT poor, but they were always just getting by. Still, they were exemplary people, & raised Iwwerk well.After tireless efforts at his old public school, his efforts paid off & with MUCH effort, his parents managed to get him enrolled in that fancy military Academy. Iwwerk always had potential.Iwwerk is a rather intelligent guy, he’s rational, & very righteous. He hates injustice & cruelty, & is a very reliable friend. Truly a guy you want around. He likes math! Arguably he’s a genius when it comes to anything math-related, & he willingly helps out struggling classmates.Under stress, he becomes anxious & almost jumpy, paranoia absolutely gnaws at him.

& then there’s Kuno. Kuno only really exists in this story because of his relation to the main characters. This isn’t his story.Either way, Kuno is also 19, him & Kazik got to know each other in their second year at the Academy. Kuno is a connected individual, & the son of a Corporal. He has an older brother in the Alderkorps. He definitely doesn’t have the best friend group.Kuno can struggle to empathize sometimes, often out of ignorance. He’s generally bad at handling emotions & as the story progresses, gets even worse at regulating them.He wasn’t always a bad person, Kazik wanted to believe he still wasn’t, but ultimately one can’t deny reality. Ideology rots people, & Kuno suffers the consequences of his choices.
